Whether it’s a boxed lunch for a hiking trip, a picnic breakfast on the patio or s’mores by the fire pit, at Emrich we endeavor to make food the high-point of your retreat experience.
Meals at Emrich are cooked from scratch on the premises by our resident Chef, Shari Spencer. Shari has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and has served as Executive Chef at area restaurants, hotels, and country clubs.
Chef Shari's food is consistently mentioned as one of the best things about Emrich by guests! Shari maintains an herb garden right outside the Emrich kitchen and seeks out fresh, local produce in season to create an exceptional dining experience.
During the summer months, much of the produce comes from our own on-site garden! Groups may choose a three-meal-a-day plan or customize meals to their request. Meals are served buffet style. Chef Shari can work with your group to design meals that fit any dietary preference. We do our best to support our local purveyors and farmers because we believe it is the right thing to do.
If members of your group are in need of specific meal adjustments due to medical dietary limitations, we will do our best to accommodate. If we are unable to accommodate your requests completely, we will make available space in our kitchen for storage of personal foods, and make that area accessible so that all meals may be enjoyed comfortably and completely with the group.
